White Orchid Alterations was established in 2004 and is owned by Stella Whittle who has worked within the fashion industry and clothing alteration trade for over 35 years. When Stella graduated from fashion design college she worked for a south coast designer specialising in bridal and evening wear before setting up on her own.

Information About Your Bridal Fitting
As a bride your first fitting will be usually be about 10 weeks before your wedding day. During your fittings, we will work with you to make sure your dress fits perfectly and you feel confident and comfortable on your special day.
You will normally have three fitting during this 10 weeks, these will be booked at your first fitting. Your final fitting will be about 2 weeks before your wedding day, giving you time to collect your dress and get it steamed if you wish.
To ensure your fitting goes well and to ensure the best possible fit, there are a few things you need to remember before your fitting.
All garments, particularly bridal wear, prom dresses, and evening gowns, rely on a good foundation. Your underwear is an essential part of the overall look, so remember to bring a suitable bra with you to the fitting. If your dress has fitted bra cups it’s to give the dress shape, only a good fitting bra can give you shape.
Additionally, shoes are crucial for your fitting. Without the correct pair, or ones with a very similar heel and sole height, the correct hem length cannot be guaranteed.
